Last weekend we headed Into The Woods for a promo photoshoot. While we’re saving the actual photos for our big reveal, here’s a “behind the scenes” look at what went on …
The venue for our photoshoot was fascinating from a local history perspective. The woods you can see in the photos are where the once grand Bramcote Hall used to stand. A 21 bedroom mansion, it was built in latter part of the 19th Century. The Hall’s last owner was Frederick Chatfield Smith a banker and subsequently MP and then High Sheriff of Nottingham. Smith dies in 1905 and the the hall passed to his wife; after her death the hall was finally demolished in 1920.
Although nature has well and truly reclaimed this site, it was interesting to see where telltale features still remain. Parts of the garden walls are still visible, and we came across many of the flights of steps which led up to the main building – some of which we took advantage of in our shots. But for those, you’ll have to wait for the official photographs!
