John has been a member of BMTG since 1987 since his rock band "Omega" folded.
He's played many minor roles over the years - Cascada (Merry Widow), Benny Southstreet (Guys N' Dolls), Count Egon (Kings Rhapsody), Arbiter (Chess), Parchester (Me and My Girl) - and took the lead role of Ko-Ko in the 2004 production of The Mikado. However, it's as Parchester in Me & My Girl that he has most fond memories (and us of the dance he had to do).
Between 1995 and 2003 he was the assistant Musical Director and chorus master and is now resting from these duties. In his murky past he's been a member of the Notts Police male voice choir and he is also one of many BMTG members who also performs for Cantata.
In his spare time he plays the piano and guitar but can mainly be found doing as little as possible.
He is married to fellow BMTG member Ruth Maddison and is father to Rachel and Andrew.
