Beeston Musical Group are Proud to Present:
Something Wicked This Way Comes
Our October Concert series is approaching, and wants to take you down the darker side of musicals.
Shows include Jekyll and Hyde, Les Miserables, Wicked, Beauty and the Beast and many more.
Shows run from Thursday 28th to Saturday 30th October 2010 at 7.30pm, plus a 2pm Matinee on the Saturday.

Little Shop of Horrors (announced 16th March 2010)
Shopping Online! (announced 17th October 2008)
If you shop on the internet then you could also help the society - our new online shopping facility has dozens of shops and using any of them will raise much-needed revenue for the group.
The Vagabond King (announced 18th July 2008)
The third show our society produced, The Vagabond King was performed at, what was then, Roundhill County Junior School in October 1968.

Broadway or Bust (announced 18th July 2008)
Our next performance will be Broadway or Bust, an evening of music, song and dance featuring all the biggest and best Broadway hits - a fully staged, costumed and choreographed review featuring songs from 42nd Street, Chicago, Sweet Charity, La Cages Aux Folles, Sunset Boulevard, A Chorus Line, Kiss Me Kate, Little Shop of Horrors and Hairspray.
Broadway or Bust will be performed at Round Hill Primary School between Thursday 23rd October and Saturday 25th October 2008.

Our Show for 2009 (announced 5th February 2008)
Our show for 2009 will be "Kiss Me, Kate", the Cole Porter musical. A play within a play, the interior play is a musical version of The Taming of the Shrew. The score includes hits like "Wunderbar", "Always True To You In My Fashion", "Why Can't You Behave" and"Too Darned Hot".
It will be held at Round Hill Primary School, Beeston, in April 2009. Further details will follow.
Concerts for 2008 (announced 18th October 2007)

The Society has Elected a New President (announced 3rd July 2007)
Following the resignation of Michael Wright as the Society's President, the membership has voted unanimously for the Headmaster of Round Hill Primary School, Randall Lewis, to take the role.
Concerts for 2008 Announced! (announced 21st June 2007)
There will be two concerts in 2008.
"Thank You For The Music" will have show-stopping numbers from such artists as Abba and Simon and Garfunkel, as well as chart hits and movie themes.
"Broadway Or Bust" is not so much a concert as a revue with vignettes from such shows as 42nd Street, Kiss Me Kate, Chicago and A Chorus Line.
Further details will be announced in the future.
Future Show Dates (announced 19th January 2007)
It has been decided that the society's future shows will take place at Easter, in preference to the current October dates.
Annie Get Your Gun will still be October 2007, but the next show won't then be until Easter 2009. Concerts will be performed between these dates.

You can now buy concert and show tickets online.
Powered by the trusted PayPal service, we can accept payment by many popular credit and debit cards.
Simply visit our tickets page and add the tickets you require to the basket. Once complete, proceed to the checkout where you can use your card details to complete the purchase.
Tickets are sent to through the post (unless the performance is imminent, then the tickets will be held for you at the door - you will be informed of this, though).

Round Hill School is our chosen charity for 2006 (announced 26th September 2006)
We have donated £386 towards a new set of steps for the front of the stage to replace the current ones that are covered in blue carpet. They are modular and can be put together for a variety of different uses.

2007 Spring Concerts Announced (announced 19th September 2006)
The Spring concerts for 2007 will be "40 years of BMTG shows", and will feature songs from the shows we have performed over the past 40 years.
The first concert will be at Bulwell on 31st March 2007
Our Next Performance - Jesus Christ Superstar (announced 29th June 2006)
Our next performance will be Jesus Christ Superstar.
Starting Easter Monday, the 17th of April 2006, this is the story of the last 7 days of the Son of God.
Tickets cost between 6 and 8 pounds and can be purchased by ringing 0115 928 0980 or e-mail tickets@bmtg.org.uk anytime.

The Good Net Guide is an independent initiative that helps to promote quality websites.
Only 10% of web sites submitted to them are approved - and the BMTG website has been approved!
Rehearsals for Viva Mexico start (announced 4th May 2006)
Beeston Musical Theatre Group, fresh from its success with Jesus Christ Superstar, has started rehearsals for the romantic comedy Viva Mexico!
The shows producer has been confirmed as John Blackwell, producer for BMTG's recent performances of Me and My Girl and Kismet, and the Musical Director will by Mandy Fogg, who joins us from Cantata.
Jesus Christ Superstar Sold Out (announced 18th April 2006)
All performances of Jesus Christ Superstar have now sold out.
Another Sell Out! (announced 18th April 2006)
4 out of the 7 performances of Jesus Christ Superstar are now sold out (including yesterdays opening night), with less than 30 tickets remaining in total for the week.
If you haven't got your ticket, now is the time to do so.
Jesus Christ Superstar starts tomorrow! (announced 16th April 2006)
Our next show, Jesus Christ Superstar, premiers tomorrow night, Monday 17th April.
3 of the 7 performances are already sold out and few remain for the other shows.
The society, performing final rehearsals, also made an appearance on Central News today at 6:35pm.

Tickets are rapidly disappearing for our performance of Jesus Christ Superstar - 5 out of the 7 performances are nearly sold out.

Beeston Musical Theatre Group's brand new website has been launched.
It's packed to the seams with show and concert information, photos, audio recordings and general information about the society.
Our Show For 2007 - Annie Get Your Gun (announced 16th September 2005)
Our show for 2007 will be the Broadway revival version of the thigh-slapping hit Annie Get Your Gun.
A Wild West Show-within-a-show this tells the story of sharpshooter Annie Oakley and her rocky romance with shooting-ace Frank Butler.
Irving Berlin's classic score cannot fail to thrill nearly six decades after first taking Broadway by storm.
Dates and ticket prices are yet to be announced.
