What They Said

The Audience...

"Friends in last night though it was "brilliant", the best concert they had seen, and John (my husband) has been to the last fourteen BMTG concerts!."

The Press...

"A splendid rendition of O Fortuna (Camina Burana) set the scene for this very well staged concert based largely round items from modern musicals. Morven arranged a very varied program around the darker side of musicals with plenty of opportunities for the chorus and principals to show their talents. It was certainly well rehearsed, demonstrated by the high standard of the music, choreography and dance presented. With a Company having so many members capable of performing individual numbers, it is impossible to mention all the notable performances, typically represented by a super performance of Music of the Night from Morris Fisher. There were excellent extracts from Assassins, an impressive Masquerade from Phantom, a super Michael Jackson dance routine and a very well presented Finale with a Les Miserables Medley amongst the many items performed. Good use of lighting enhanced the presentation but excessive amplification did tend to distract through the first half, the second half being much better. Good entertainment, well arranged, well rehearsed, well sung and well presented, the hard work paid off. ." (NODA)

"When people hear good music, it makes them homesick for something they never had, and never will have." (Edgar Watson Howe)
